Behavior Policy

Introduction

At NCIS, we are committed to fostering an environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and integrity. Our behavior policy is designed to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing atmosphere where students can learn and grow in accordance with Islamic values.

Expected Student Conduct

All students at NCIS are expected to:

  • Treat fellow students, teachers, and staff with respect and kindness.

  • Follow school rules and regulations.

  • Demonstrate self-discipline and responsibility in their actions.

  • Participate actively in both academic and extracurricular activities.

  • Maintain a positive and inclusive attitude towards peers.

  • Uphold Islamic principles in their behavior, language, and interactions.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Disrespecting teachers, staff, or fellow students.

  • Engaging in bullying, whether verbal, physical, or online.

  • Use of inappropriate language or gestures.

  • Disrupting the learning environment.

  • Damaging school property.

  • Any form of dishonesty, such as cheating or plagiarism.

  • Engaging in any behavior that goes against Islamic values.

Disciplinary Procedures

NCIS follows a structured approach to discipline, focusing on positive reinforcement and corrective measures. The steps taken depend on the severity and frequency of the misconduct.

Verbal Warning

Teachers or staff will give a verbal reminder to the student about appropriate behavior.

Step 1

Written Warning

If misbehavior continues, a written warning will be issued, and parents will be notified.

Step 2

Parent-Teacher Conference

Parents will be invited for a meeting to discuss the student’s behavior and possible solutions.

Step 3

Behavior Improvement Plan

A structured plan will be developed to help the student correct their behavior.

Step 4

Suspension or Expulsion

If all corrective measures fail or if the offense is severe, suspension or expulsion may be considered at the discretion of the school administration.

Step 5

Anti-Bullying Policy

NCIS has a strict zero-tolerance policy for bullying. This includes:

  • Physical bullying (hitting, pushing, etc.)

  • Verbal bullying (name-calling, insults, etc.)

  • Cyberbullying (harassment through social media, messages, etc.)

  • Social bullying (spreading rumors, exclusion, etc.)

Any reported incidents will be thoroughly investigated, and necessary actions will be taken to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.

Encouraging Positive Behavior

To reinforce good behavior, NCIS employs various reward systems, including:

  • Student of the Month awards.

  • Certificates and recognition for exemplary conduct.

  • Special privileges for consistently well-behaved students.

  • Encouragement and praise from teachers and staff.

Parental Involvement

Parents play a crucial role in shaping a child’s behavior. NCIS encourages parents to:

  • Communicate regularly with teachers regarding their child’s behavior.

  • Reinforce school rules and values at home.

  • Participate in school workshops and events that focus on child development and discipline.

  • Work collaboratively with the school to support positive behavior.

Conclusion

NCIS is dedicated to maintaining a disciplined, respectful, and positive learning environment. By working together—students, teachers, and parents—we can cultivate a community that upholds the highest moral and ethical standards, ensuring a bright future for all students.
